Pivotal Energy Solutions (Pivotal) and OptiMiser, a leader in residential and commercial energy efficiency audit software, announced today an agreement that will enable energy efficiency assessment and rating data to be shared directly between the OptiMiser software platform and Pivotal’s AXIS platform to facilitate the visibility of energy efficiency data in real estate listings. Users of OptiMiser software, with the home owner’s consent, will have the option to transfer data into Pivotal’s aggregation and distribution platform so that validated energy efficiency improvements made to a residence are available at the time of sale, improving the likelihood that home owners will recover the cost of the improvements when they sell their home. The OptiMiser data will also be used to auto-populate documentation for appraisal purposes, such as the Appraisal Institute’s Green and Energy Efficient Addendum (G&EEA). Andy Bardwell, CEO of OptiMiser, stated, “This partnership with Pivotal allows our users to enhance the value proposition for home owners considering energy efficiency improvements by documenting their improvements and making them available at the time they decide to sell their home.” Bob Burns, CEO of Pivotal added, “We’re excited to provide this service for home owners and to be working with the OptiMiser team. Our goal is to help home buyers or renters make educated decisions about their next residence. Enabling validated data collected by energy services professionals using the OptiMiser platform to flow into the real estate market helps accomplish that goal.” Target release of this functionality is early 2018.
